Dr. Mark Nordin, Sr. is a third-generation optometrist who joined Nordin Eye Center after earning his Doctorate degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1992. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and Kentucky Optometric Association, where he proudly served as President in 2005-2006. Dr. Nordin is keenly focused on progressing his education and training post-graduation. Consequently, he is one of a few dozen of optometrists nationwide who is a diplomat in the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, is credentialed in all three laser procedures performed by optometrists, and is certified to perform minor surgical procedures on eye lids. Dr. Mark, as his patients refer to him, relies on his decades of experience to diagnose and treat all type of eye conditions and abnormalities from pediatric to geriatric.
Dr. Kimberly W. Nordin is a native of eastern Kentucky and has been dedicated to providing the highest level of eyecare and vision enhancement for over 30 years. She has special interest and training in pediatric, geriatric, diabetic eye disease, and glaucoma treatment. She has also been named one of the top physicians in the area of dry eye management. A graduate of Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, which is ranked among the highest in clinical training, Dr. Nordin has extended her education and training by becoming laser certified. She is also one of 10% nationwide Board-Certified Optometrists. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Kentucky Optometric Association.
Dr. Mark E. Nordin, Jr. was born and raised in eastern Kentucky. He attended the University of Kentucky and was in the inaugural graduation class at Kentucky College of Optometry. Dr. Nordin joined Nordin Eye Center in 2020 and practices full scope optometry. He is skilled in all aspects of primary eyecare including glaucoma treatment, diabetic retinopathy, geriatric and pediatric vision. He is laser certified and is credentialed to perform minor cosmetic surgical procedures on the eye lids. Dr. Nordin is passionate about bringing quality eyecare back to the people of eastern Kentucky. He is a member of the Kentucky Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
